Currently, the person responsible for guiding new players is Javier Andrés (javier.andres@valenciach.es). However, if the new player has a moderate to high Spanish language level, they may contact any staff member of the club (e-mail or in person at a training). In any case, it is advisable to first contact Javier Andrés.

Yes, in its quest to provide better service to its members, the ValenciaCH has established a partnership with the Academy ROUTE 66. The Academy offers a wide variety of language courses, timetables, and even includes Spanish cultural activities in its programming. The school has a long history of teaching Spanish in the Valencia area and offers special discounts for hockey club members. We recommend them!!
Every ValenciaCH player (domestic or foreign) must pay to be a member of the club. ValenciaCH is an amateur club (like the other clubs Valencia). Overall, every player must pay the annual membership fee as well as a monthly fee before starting to train with us. Additionally, if you want to participate in any competitions you must pay for a license from the Spanish Hockey Federation.
See our MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION section for specific prices. http://www.valenciach.es/English/_InfoEnglish.html
No, the only thing a player must pay are the membership fees (annual and monthly) and the Spanish Hockey Federation license(as mentioned above). Any player (Spanish or foreign) who plays in the club will have all travel expenses, accommodation, and food paid for by the club, regardless of the place in Spain where the competition is taking place.
The usual procedure for players coming from other clubs, is to take a test/trial workout with other players during the regular club training so that the club coaches can decide which team is more suitable for that players skill level. From that moment on, the new player can take the next steps to join the club permanently (that season).
See our TEAMS. http://www.valenciach.es/English/_TeamsEnglish.html
After the first practice test, deciding which team is best for you, and paying the membership dues, you can start playing immediately. The membership fees must be paid before starting so that ValenciaCH can arrange your health insurance which is required to play hockey in the facilities. The first training (the test) is the only time you are alllowed to participate without insurance.
No. The ValenciaCH is required to provide medical insurance for sports, as a requirement of the Valencia Hockey Federation. The club coaches are instructed not allow entry into the field to those players without the official health insurance (except in the first training trial).
Normally, most Federations allow players to participate in different national leagues at once. Just in case, check with your national federation to resolve the issue. Currently, the Spanish federation gives permission to play in various leagues.
ValenciaCH has an agreement with "Deportes Miguel" Sports Shop to provide their official kits. You must go to this store to request items for the Club. There you can choose your size.
Payment of the kits is made directly to the store, therefore the ValenciaCH is not liable for any complications arising from the transaction between shop and players.
The Club has established that all senior players must purchase the pack that includes two team uniforms ( complete with shorts, shocks and shirt, a tracksuit and polo). These uniforms should be worn at match and official events of the club. The estimated price is 100 euros. This includes screen printing and embroidery badges. ValenciaCH’s shirts are not personalized with the players names.
Apart from the obligatory clothes, the club offers a wide range of official accessories to buy at the store. You can find jackets, polo shirts in different colors, etc ...
Please contact Javier Andrés. He will inform you of the numbers available for you to choose the one you like.
At the moment, in the city of Valencia, there is no specific shop that sells hockey equipment (sticks, shin guards, mouth guard, shoes etc ....)
However, in the team there is a person who sells this type of material so you can always buy whatever you want directly from him if you are interested. His name is Carmelo Biot .... Ask for him in training.
ValenciaCH shares with all the clubs in the city of Valencia hockey facilities. Currently there are two hockey fields in different parts of the city. Green pitch in El Saler Beach and the Blue pitch near universities.
The second team always trains in the blue pitch and the first team trains on Tuesday in the blue pitch and on Thursday in the green pitch.

These facilities are located near the University of Valencia, Malvarrosa and not too far from the center of Valencia. To get there we recommend you use the public transport (connections are very good): Bus, tram, metro and also there are bicycles for rent.
The first team trains on Thursday afternoon in the "El Saler" Green pitch, so if the coaches tell you to train at "El Saler" you should talk to a fellow player who also trains there because the best way to get there is by private car. Normally, many of the players carpool and new players do not have any difficulty getting a ride there.
There are two types of information needed by the ValenciaCH for foreign players. First, you must turn in the following information for club: name, phone number, address in Valencia, passport number etc ... In order to formalize the hockey license (required to participate in an official league) you must fill out the form for foreign players and provide a color photocopy of your passport.
Check here the documents we need from you. http://www.valenciach.es/English/_FormsEnglish.html
Over the past few seasons, all players have their payments directly from their bank account. This system allows the club to charge and receive payment quickly and conveniently. To do this you must fill in your bank account number in the registration form.
However, from experience we know that it is difficult to charge payments directly from foreign accounts. Because not all foreign players have a Spanish bank account, the club makes an exception for them and allows them to pay in cash. In this case, payment must be made immediately once the player decides to participate in the club trainings. Cash will be paid to the Treasurer (Francisco Lopez), he will give you a receipt for the record of payment.
It’s very important to note that no player will be allowed to train or participate in matches or trainings if payments are not made.
ValenciaCH is a club that devotes most of its efforts to outdoor hockey, however during the months of January and February the club also participates in indoor competitions.
You can check the website for information about the club. In addition the club has a system for sending information by email news alerts.
ValenciaCH actually is very accustomed to having forgiegn players from all over Spain, Europe and around the World. Australians, Argentineans, Americans, British, German, French, Portuguese, etc ....
